An estate agent said he is getting a lot of thanks from the public for "bringing Christmas cheer" to his street.
David Stern, director of Parkheath in Haverstock Hill, lit up the firm's 19-foot Christmas tree outside his office on Monday (December 3).
It is the tenth year the firm has provided a tree on the high street but nowadays it is the only one.
He told the Ham&High: "There are no Christmas decorations along Haverstock Hill and there haven't been for quite a few years. We're the only tree up in Belsize Park.
"We get admiring glances and receive positive comments from people coming in saying 'thank you for bring Christmas cheer'."
Mr Stern said it was difficult to raise money for decorations along the high street as traders used to do.
"There's no-one taking charge and also it's financially more difficult in recent times for businesses to do so," he added.
Parkheath put up two other trees outside its offices in West End Lane and in Kensal Rise.
David added: "Aside from bringing Christmas cheer people like to see trees and they liven up the area, especially if there is a lack of other decorations around. It works out well."
