A fast food chain specialising in chicken wings is celebrating reaching a national final as it prepares to reopen its Camden restaurant.
WNGZ has been named as a finalist for the first-ever British QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Franchise Awards 2025 for Best Wings Restaurant of the Year.
The chain, which opened in 2021, has four London outlets and plans to open 20 more in the next two years.
The brand was co-founded by Arif Ahmed and Zahirul Islam, who saw a gap in the market for halal and American-style grilled and fried chicken wings.
The nomination comes as WNGZ prepares to relaunch its Camden store on December 9 after a six-month closure.
The restaurant will host a grand relaunch on December 13 and 14, offering a 50 per cent discount on the entire menu.
Owner Arif Ahmed said: "We’re happy to bring WNGZ back to Camden and grateful to residents for their patience during our hiatus.
"With like-minded franchise partners on board, we’re thrilled to be back and ready to serve you the sauciest wings in town.
"Our vision is to expand WNGZ to every corner of the UK, and we’re actively seeking passionate new franchise partners to join us.
"Keep your eyes peeled for upcoming openings as we bring WNGZ to new communities nationwide."
