A Christmas concert will end with carols around the piano as a choir celebrates its 15th anniversary.
Belsize Community Choir will perform a free concert at St Peters Church, in Belsize Square, at 7.30pm on December 15.
The choir will sing its first ever performance of The Road I Travel , a song with a four part harmony which has been composed by the choir's accompanist Dimitri Kennaway who was born and raised in St John's Wood.
Singers will also be accompanied on some songs by drummer Anuj Thaker and Lara Dodds-Eden with the recorder.
The evening will end with a singalong of popular carols around the piano.
Laura Puttkamer, who joined the choir three years ago, stressed the choir's community credentials.
She said: "We've been helping St Peters celebrate Christmas since 2010 and even in lockdown we learnt Christmas songs on Zoom and sang in the church garden.
"Ezra Burke, our exceptional musical director, was born and brought up in Belsize Park. And he makes every week a special week, leading us with patience, humour and many beautiful songs as well as fun exercises."
Membership co-ordinator Tim Cleverdon, who has sung with the choir since 2010, added: "Belsize Park is a fantastic area to live and if you do anything it has to be good quality. Even though we're a community choir - we're not highbrow - we do strive for really good quality, four-part harmony proper singing.
"We try to be the best that we can be because you have to be in Belsize Park or else no-one will come."
The choir will also be performing at the Garden Gate pub in South End Green at 8pm on December 18.
Membership costs £50 per term with concessions available. The choir is particularly looking for tenors and bases. Contact belsizechoirevents@gmail.com for information.
