A man has pleaded guilty, just days after two burglaries.
Police are on the look out for even more suspects, following a burglary in Winnington Road, Highgate, on Wednesday (November 20) at 7pm.
After a group of suspects saw police, one of them armed with a pickaxe moved towards officers.
Five men then made off in a black Audi A3 and officers pursued the suspects.
In Osborne Road, Finsbury Park, the suspects abandoned the car, which was stolen and driven using false number plates.
One man was arrested, while the others escaped in a black BMW 5 series.
Officers recovered stolen Winnington Road items inside the car, as well as cash and jewellery stolen during a burglary in Sheldon Avenue at 6pm that evening.
John Cooper, of Lymington Avenue in Wood Green, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary at Willesden Magistrates’ Court today (November 22).
The 40-year-old has been remanded in custody and officers await details of a date for his sentencing.
Community policing teams will be conducting additional patrols across Barnet over the next few weeks, the Metropolitan Police said.
