Jamie xx has been announced as the first headliner for East London's brand new LIDO Festival - with tickets going on sale today (Friday, November 1).

The producer and DJ will perform in Victoria Park on Saturday 7 June 2025 alongside a specially curated line-up including Arca, Sampha, Shy One, DJ Gigola, Wookie and livwutang.

Jamie xx's In Waves collaborators Romy, Panda Bear, and John Glacier will join the full day of music, which also includes a unique stage called 'The Floor' featuring a three-hour set from DJ Harvey.

Tickets are on general sale at www.lidofestival.co.uk.

Jamie xx says: “It’s always an exciting prospect playing in my home town. Having done The Floor and Alexandra Palace this year, it’s time for something else!

"I’m really looking forward to headlining Victoria Park, curating my own day festival and performing alongside my favourite artists.”

Announced earlier this month, the new festival will run across two weekends in June 2025 in the Tower Hamlets park - with further headliners to be revealed.

It's named after the Lido Field next to Grove Road - which in turn takes its name from a now demolished open air swimming pool.

Organisers pledge that the festival will showcase the most up to date music stars and work closely with headliners to programme bespoke line-ups that reflect their musical passions.

Like its sister festival All Points East - also produced by AEG - LIDO Festival will give a platform to emerging artists, and programme community-driven activities during the week with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

British performer Jamie xx is known for his work with The xx along with influential solo dance projects. He burst on the scene in 2015 with his Grammy, Brit, Ivor Novello, and Mercury Music Prize-nominated debut album In Colour on Young.

Since then he has blended genres to invigorate dancefloors the world over with his euphoric and dynamic live sets.

Inspired by Jamie xx’s celebrated series of intimate club residencies, Jamie will bring unannounced guests and a custom sound system to Victoria Park.
