If you're looking for your next meal out for a cheeky curry but aren't sure where to go, you might want to take some advice from a Hollywood legend.

Star of Top Gun, Mission Impossible and many more movies, Tom Cruise is said to love a humble curry house just outside of London.

Often seen in the region jumping out of helicopters or jumping across buildings, Cruise has been spotted at a curry house in St Albans, just 20 minutes from London.

The curry house 20 minutes from London loved by Tom Cruise

As reported by MyLondon, Cruise is said to love the St Alban's curry house, Veer Dhara.

The Top Gun: Maverick star has visited the spot a number of times, with one of his first back in 2012 when he was filming the action-movie movie 'Edge of Tomorrow' with Emily Blunt at the nearby Leavesden Studios.

It's reported that Cruise ordered a big meal with the classic chicken and lobster tikka masala.

But, in true Cruise fashion, the meal had a plot twist when the movie star struggled to settle the bill as the curry house didn't take American Express.

However, luckily for the Mission Impossible actor, a friend was able to cover the bill and save the day.

Veer Dhara was created by Surinder Singh who wanted to find a "new, different and exciting way to appreciate Indian food, and to demonstrate that excellence, diversity, tradition and affordability can all go hand in hand."

Serving authentic Indian Cuisine the curry house has a team of six chefs "handpicked from some of India’s finest five-star hotels who excel in a cuisine that is unashamedly robust & strong in flavours."

Menu items include salmon tikka, tandoori chicken, barra champ madira, tawe ki bathak and murg palak tawa to name a few.
