Two Ham and High readers can win the first limited edition Monopoly boards for the area by describing what they love most about Hampstead or Highgate.

The winners will become 'VIPs for the Day' at the official launch of the Monopoly: Hampstead & Highgate Edition game.

They will get to play and keep the first two sets to roll off the presses, signed by some of the big names from Hampstead and Highgate who will feature on the board.

The game, announced in March this year, will feature more than 30 local streets and landmarks, replacing the likes of Mayfair and Park Lane from the classic Monopoly board and chosen after suggestions from the public.

The winners will also be star guests at the launche, meeting Mr Monopoly himself at one of the addresses featured on the board.

John Keen-Tomlinson from the board's creators Winning Moves UK said: "It’s a very hot address."

The board will also feature three local charities, after an appeal in April.

The launch will take place on November 8, the same day as the game hits the shops.

The public can enter the VIP competition by writing an entry based on ‘Why I Love Hampstead’ in 25 words or less, or ‘Why I Love Highgate’.

Poems, ditties, and even one-liners are allowed. Entries can also be submitted in visual formats.

Mr Keen-Tomlinson said: "The most inventive and creative entries will win."

Entries close at 11.59pm on October 31, 2024, and can be sent to VIP@6StarPR.co.uk.
