Entertainment and food operator Boxpark is opening its doors this evening in a former street market.

The pop-up has taken over and revived Camden Town's Buck Street Market, and will officially open its doors to the general public on Friday following a VIP launch tonight (September 26).

Operating over three floors, Camden's Boxpark includes 60 independent food and retail traders alongside two bars, and planned rooftop terrace, enhancing the site as a vibrant social hub.

The market will operate seven days a week from 10am to 7pm for retail and 11am to 10pm for food.

Its bar will be open 11am to 11pm for Mondays to Thursdays, and 11am to 11.30pm for Fridays and Saturdays.

Similar to its other London branches in Wembley, Shoreditch and Croydon, the Camden branch will host a diverse mix of food and units.

Only some stalls have been confirmed so far, including chip vendor Chipsy and bakery Philippe Conticini, known for its viral giant croissant.

Yorkshire Burrito and Black Bear Burger are also among the named traders.

True to its roots it will host a variety of events including weekly quizzes, comedy nights, live music and DJ sets.

Since acquiring the site in April, Boxpark has revamped the market alongside Places for London, Transport for London’s property company.

The spruce up includes new paintwork, flooring, and signage, and the construction of a much-anticipated roof terrace coming towards the end of the year.

Ben McLaughlin, chief operating officer at Boxpark, said: “This has been such an exciting and rewarding challenge for Boxpark so far, and one we cannot wait to see the results of.

"It’s no secret we have a love of locations beaming with culture and community, and Camden is no different.

"The iconic town has been a fan-favourite for years, boasting a world of food, music and the arts that is clearly aligned with us."

“We are committed to flying the flag for independent businesses across the country, and this restoration will allow us to continue this in one of the most significant takeovers London will see this year.

"Following our Liverpool opening earlier this year, this next step for us is just the beginning of our upcoming expansion plans, and we cannot wait to see the response from the Camden community.”
