A fire-ravaged shop in Chalk Farm Road could reopen with flats above it.

The planning application is one of several submitted to Camden Council between September 9 and September 15 in the Ham and High readership area.

The council is currently reviewing each application and has yet to make a decision on any of them.

In Belsize Park road there are plans to convert two flats into a single home (2024/3761/P).

One applicant has asked to build a single-storey back extension to their house in Murray Mews, Camden Town (2024/3805/P).

A similar extension is also planned for a flat in Castle Road (2024/3764/P).

In West Hampstead, a new two-storey house could be built on land behind 12 Sarre Road (2024/3478/P).

Hampstead private school St Anthony’s School for Boys has asked for permission to demolish its existing swimming pool and to replace it with an astro-turf sports pitch (2024/3758/P).

A fire-damaged shop and flat in Chalk Farm Road could be brought back into use (2024/3892/P).

Two years ago, a fire badly damaged the Louis Coca shoe shop and a first-floor flat, and neither property has been used since.

Under new plans submitted to the council, the shop premises would be restored, with two flats created above it. It is not clear from planning documents what type of shop will occupy the space.

In Dartmouth Park, there are plans for an extension to a flat in Chetwynd Road (2024/3847/P).

Another extension is planned for a house in Minton Mews, West Hampstead (2024/2453/P).

A house in Elliott Square, Primrose Hill, could have an extra floor added if proposals are approved (2024/3787/P).

In Albert Street near Regent’s Park, there are plans to convert two self-contained listed flats into a single home (2024/3375/P).

A Unite Students accommodation block at Somerset Court, Aldenham Street near Euston Station is set to undergo cladding works (2024/3810/P).

Planning documents state that the work would replace “areas of combustible material on the building”.
