A potential buyer has been found at a pub which has been shut for nearly a year.
The Hendon pub, in Hendon Way, a short distance from Brent Cross Shopping Centre, was permanently closed in November 2023.
However real estate agency Savills says that the watering hole is now “under offer”, meaning that a buyer has put forward an offer for the venue.
Made up of three-storeys, the building has a car park space for nearly 10 spaces and is located near the Northern line.
The listing says: “The property is held freehold and any disposal will be subject to the existing tenancy agreement let to Noise Cartel Limited at £4,000 per annum.
“This lease can be terminated following at least three months notice after the landlord serves notice on the tenant that it has submitted an application for full planning permission.”
While the property has been boarded up for months since its closure, it flagged up on police’s radar during a suspected drug investigation.
In February this year, officers received intelligence that the abandoned property was possibly being used as a cannabis factory.
A drug raid was carried out, but after a thorough search, no signs of drug production could be found – although there were signs that squatters might have been living in the venue.
