Noel and Liam Gallagher today announced they have ended their 16-year feud and will be reforming Oasis for a UK tour.

The brothers, originally from Manchester, have both lived around the Ham & High patch since the 1990s - in both Hampstead, Highgate, as well as Little Venice.

Oasis formed in 1991, chalking up hits with Live Forever, Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back In Anger, but split in 2009 following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.

Wherever they have moved, the feuding brothers have maintained their ties with north London.

As they prepare to go on the road again, we look at some of the homes they have lived in - and pubs Liam has been kicked out of.

Morning Glory days

In Oasis' heyday in 1995, Noel lived in an £8 million property in Steele's Road, Belsize Park, with his wife Meg Matthews.

He named the house Supernova Heights after Champagne Supernova, the closing track of their album (What's the Story) Morning Glory, which was released that year.

The home was the centre of the Primrose Hill set, hosting hedonistic rock ‘n’ roll parties at the height of the Britpop era.

At the same time, Liam lived with Patsy Kensit in Elsworthy Road, Primrose Hill, which was a hotspot for 1990s stars including Kate Moss, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Sadie Frost and Gwyneth Paltrow.

In 2005, Davinia Taylor bought the house for £3.25 million and then sold it on to author and Britain's Got Talent judge David Walliams.

In the noughties, Liam lived in Platt’s Lane with Nicole Appleton, part of 1990s girl band All Saints.

Noel moved out of London in 2019 when he swapped the capital for a rural pile in Hampshire.

He has also lived in Little Venice and after a divorce from publicist wife Sara McDonald following 12 years of marriage, he’s back and living in Maida Vale.

He told the Sun newspaper he lives near fellow rock stars Chrissie Hynde, Paul Weller, Glen Matlock from the Sex Pistols, Adam Clayton from U2 and Ronnie Wood from the Rolling Stones.

Liam has owned homes in Little Venice and Highgate, but it was his Hampstead residence which has caused him to look back in anger most.

Privacy was clearly an issue, and the musician described being heckled by Oasis fans as soon as he opened the door of his home in Hampstead High Street as feeling “like you’re in a bad trip.”

Then fronting the band Beady Eye, he said being pestered by fans of his old band outside his home made him question: “Am I a f***ing has-been? Is this it?”

Over the years he has been spotted in pubs around Hampstead, including the Holly Bush, where he claimed he used to shout at Jamie Oliver through his letter box on the way home.

His favourite pub is said to have been the Prince of Wales in Highgate High Street, which he has been thrown out of numerous times.

In 2019 the Mirror reported that Liam and fiancée Debbie Gwyther then moved to Muswell Hill, childhood home of the Kinks' brothers Ray and Dave Davies - themselves no strangers to a barney.

He has been seen running and walking on Hampstead Heath - once telling the Times "I don't want to sound like a hippy but it's great. I run. World to myself. Birds. Trees. No hassle from idiots."

And they are now back in Highgate as their plans for a boundary wall and swimming pool in their new mansion has angered groups including the Highgate Society who say the plans will "ruin" the street.

Swimming pools don't come cheap - the sleeve of their Be Here Now album had a Rolls Royce in one, apparently a reference to one of The Who drummer Keith Moon's rock'n'roll exploits - so maybe that was why the brothers called a truce.

Confirming the Oasis Live 25 tour, they said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”
