It’s been a busy summer at forum+, filled with great activity, engagement and community spirit!

Connection and community are at the heart of everything we do at forum+ and over the summer months, we have been reminded of the power of reaching out and joining with others.

Throughout Pride Month in June and all summer, it’s been fantastic to participate in local community festivals, celebrations and street parties. We love meeting our neighbours in Camden and Islington, and there are so many highlights and memorable moments to recall from the past few months.

Pride in London is always one of the highlights of our summer and this year’s parade and festival was another amazing day of pride, protest and joy.

We’ve had lots of fun in the sun at our outdoor social support groups, whether kayaking on the Regent’s Canal or joining together in one of the beautiful local green spaces and parks.

Our attention is now turning towards autumn and forum+ has created a programme that gives free access to LGBT+ activities and events which promote wellbeing, reduce loneliness and celebrate our culture.

From old favourites and regular events Cooking With Pride and Rainbow Paddlers, to new outdoor activities, we have something for everyone to join and enjoy.

At forum+ we love engaging in nature and there is so much to explore across Camden and Islington. Regular opportunities for exercise with forum+ will continue throughout the autumn and winter months, with our kayaking sessions at the wonderful Pirate Castle in Camden, wellbeing walks and exploration of local nature trails and reserves.

If you are facing hardship, struggling with loneliness, or if you are a victim of homophobic, biphobic or transphobic hate crime, reach out and contact forum+.

We can welcome you to our social support groups, where connections are made and local LGBT life is being celebrated. We’re here to help and over the autumn and winter months, forum+ will be there for everyone who needs us.

Collaborating and working with charities, community groups and residents across Camden and Islington is so important to forum+. If you would like to host a forum+ event and work with us to improve the lives of LGBT people, please get in touch and we always welcome volunteer support at our events.
