A fun fair will return to Hampstead Heath over the August bank holiday weekend.
The fair, run by Capital Fun Fairs, set up in Lower Fairground site, East Heath Road yesterday (August 21) and will run until Monday (August 26).
Offering free entry, the attraction promises “maximum thrills and maximum smiles”.
Those looking for alternative activities on the Heath will be able to try out family favourites, including the dodgems and carousel.
Open daily between 12pm and 9pm, the fun fair also promises that some rides cost as little as £2.
Fun fairs have been a feature of Hampstead Heath since the mid-1800s, and gave rise to the Heath’s nickname as ‘Appy ‘Ampstead.
The August bank holiday fair has become an annual tradition, and regularly attracts tens of thousands of people every year.
