A by-election date has been set after Camden Council's former leader Georgia Gould stood down after becoming an MP.
Georgia Gould MP resigned from heading Camden Council after winning the Maida Vale & Queen's Park seat in the general election on July 4.
Her Kentish Town seat became vacant with her departure, and a by-election date has now been set for September 5.
The Kentish Town South ward has been Labour-held since it was created in 2022. The ward was previously split between Cantelowes and Kentish Town.
The successful candidate will join Meriç Apak and Jenny Headlam-Wells as a ward councillor.
Ms Gould grew up in Kentish Town and went to Camden School for Girls before she was elected to Camden Council in 2010.
The daughter of the late Labour pollster Lord Gould and publisher Dame Gail Rebuck, she became leader in 2017.
An opportunity to stand in the newly created Maida Vale and Queen's Park constituency came after Labour Westminster North MP Karen Buck announced she would not stand for the new seat.
Cllr Richard Olszewski replaced Gould as leader.
Residents of the Kentish Town South ward have until August 19 to register to vote.
Voters will need to show photo ID when voting in person.
Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on August 19. Applications can be made online.
Applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Electoral Services, Camden Town Hall, Judd Hall, London WC1H 9JE 5pm on August 28.
