A pub will be closed for a month for a makeover - but has premised regulars a "lovely fresh space" when it reopens.

The Tufnell Park Tavern in Tufnell Park Road currently has a sign outside letting customers know that it has been closed for refurbishment since Monday (August 5).

The pub wrote on Instagram: “We look forward to welcoming you back in our lovely fresh space on September 3, 2024.”

The pub was last refurbished in 2010 and features an outdoor terrace at the front and walled garden at the back.

It is owned by Stanley Pubs, which runs several other pubs such as the De Beauvoir Arms in Southgate Road, the Lord Stanley in Camden Park Road, the Dame Alice Owen in St John Street, Clerkenwell, and the Lady Mildmay in Mildmay Park, Newington Green.

Until it reopens, punters have been redirected to The Landseer Arms in Landseer Road, Upper Holloway, another sister pub run by the company.
