A historic cafe is back up and running after its 110-year-old coffee roaster broke down.

The Camden Coffee Shop, in Delancey Street, Camden, is once again roasting coffee for its customers.

The shop is run by George Constinantou, who has run the outlet since 1979.

caffs_not_cafes announced the news on their Instagram page, saying they were "very happy" to see the shop open.

They said the company that makes the coffee roaster parts went out of business 50 years ago, making it very difficult to repair the old machine.

Caffs_not_cafes said: "I went in last week and the kind proprietor George is back there spilling that beautifully smoking roasting coffee smell out on the street."

They said the signs and the opening hours on the shop's "unusually well-maintained Google business profile are surprisingly accurate".

They added: "Check Google beforehand."
