It's the cool East London music festival that has grown from small beginnings to become a hotly anticipated date in the capital's culture diary while still giving great bang for your buck.

Renowned for exclusive appearances, and genre-spanning curated line-ups, All Points East is set to takeover Victoria Park for two huge weekends this month.

The entertainment starts on August 16th with Canadian producer and rapper Kaytranada, followed by Lambeth-born hip hop musician Loyle Carner playing an exclusive homecoming show on August 17th.

Then American singer songwriter Mitski makes her festival headline debut on August 18th.

Between the weekends, All Points East's community festival takes over the park.

Run in collaboration with Tower Hamlets Council, in the Neighbourhood packs in a programme of free activities between Monday August 19 and Thursday August 22, with entertainment for all ages including live music and entertainment, pop up bars, theatre, arts, sports, wellbeing, panel talks, children’s activities and street food.

There are days dedicated to Sport, Literature and Culture, plus a day presented by Tower Hamlets, and one of London’s best free outdoor cinemas, showing an incredible line-up of films for all the family, alongside takeovers from BBC 1Xtra and BBC Asian Network.

The big name music acts start again on Friday 23 August, when New York electronic band LCD Soundsystem top the bill.

It's followed by the annual Field Day which programmes acts across all the stages on Saturday August 24, with a headline performance from French electronic duo Justice and support from PinkPantheress, Charlotte de Witte, Bambii and horsegiirl.

Then on Sunday 25 August, there's an epic indie double bill of The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie. Both bands will celebrate the 20th anniversary of seminal albums Give Up and Transatlanticism by playing them all the way through.

Benjamin Gibbard, the co-founder of both bands, will pull double duty performing with The Postal Service – comprised of Gibbard, Jimmy Tamborello, and Jenny Lewis – and Death Cab for Cutie (alongside Nick Harmer, Dave Depper, Zac Rae, and Jason McGerr).

As with the other shows there's an incredible array of support acts that delivers a mini festival in one day including; The Decemberists, Phoenix, Gossip, Lany, Say She She, Sleater-Kinney, Everything Everything, Yo La Tengo, Teenage Fanclub, The Lemon Twigs, Wednesday, Gustaf, Spiritual Cramp, Mehro, Luvcat, Abz Winter, Split The Dealer, Soft Launch, John-Robert, Bo Staloch, Daily J, Matt-Felix.

Throughout the festival BBC 6 Music is running a stage with Tom Ravenscroft on August 16th, Jamz Supernova, DJ Spoony and Kampire on August 17, Sherelle and Helena Starr on August 18, Gilles Peterson on August 23, Mary Anne Hobbs’ All Queens Takeover, with AFRODEUTSCHE, and ANNA.

On the final day August 25 the stage sees DJ sets by Self Esteem, Los Bitchos, Lambrini Girls, Good Future and Steve La Mac.

Loyle Carner's homecoming show includes a line up of Mercury prizewinners Ezra Collective, Nas, Andre 3000, Lianne La Havas, Flying Lotus, Cymande, Glass Beams, a DJ set by Berlioz, Nubya Garcia, Songer, Sainte, Lola Young, Joe James, Enny, Navy Blue, Mrcy, Dana and Alden, Bricknasty.

Mitski is backed by a range of bands and singer songwriters including Arlo Parks, TV Girl, Ethel Cain, Beabadoobee, Men I Trust, Suki Waterhouse, Sir Chloe, Wasia Project, Sienna Spiro, Infinity Song, Wisp, Dan Whitlam, Lucius, Towa Bird, Good Neighbours, Strawberry Guy, BBY, Hana Vu, Molly Payton, Emily Jeffri and Jacob Alon.

And LCD Soundsystem is backed by Pixies, Jai Paul, Floating Points, Jockstrap, Joy, The Kills, Newdad, Nation of Language, Sofia Kourtesis, Eyedress, Joe Goddard, Vagabon, Mspaint, Monobloc, Dove Ellis and Nick Ward.
