Eastenders and The Bill star Roberta Taylor has died following an infection.
The actress, 76, suffered from emphysema and after a fall two months ago her battle with pneumonia worsened.
According to an obituary in The Guardian, she died on July 6.
Roberta was born in West Ham on February 26, 1948, and grew up on the Isle of Dogs, where she originally trained to be a dental nurse while taking drama classes.
She is most known as her role as Irene Raymond in the BBC soap as well as being the leading role as Inspector Gina Gold in The Bill.

Over her three years between 1997 and 2000 in Walford Square, Taylor’s character Irene had a series of romances including with Terry Raymond and her lodger Troy Harvey.
Roberta last starred in the comedy Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators for six episodes between 2018 and 2020.

She leaves her actor husband Peter Guinness, her son Elliott, a granddaughter and two stepbrothers.
