Police have cordoned off a road after a teenager was killed in a stabbing.

Tollington Park at the junction of Stroud Green Park in Finsbury Park was closed off early this morning (July 11) at 2.50am after a 19-year-old man was found with stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Much of the end of Tollington Park was shut off, with roadworks already in place across the rest of the street.

A forensics tent could be seen in the area and police were pictured apparently going through a car parked in the road.

One officer at the scene said that while a series of shops were closed due to the cordon, none of them had anything to do with the attack.
