Ofsted inspectors say a school that pupils are "rightly proud" to attend is on track for a top rating.
Kilburn Grange School has kept its second-highest 'good' rating after an ungraded Ofsted visit.
But lead inspector Matea Marcinko said the school it could have achieved the highest 'outstanding' rating in a graded inspection.
Schools cannot improve their ratings during an ungraded inspection - this type of visit checks whether the school remains the same grade as before.
Miss Marcinko praised Kilburn Grange's strong sense of community in the report, with pupils "rightly proud" to belong and showing a "a palpable love of learning".
She wrote that pupils also love spending time with the school's dog mentor, Neo, who creates a welcoming atmosphere and serves as part of the school’s mental health provision.
The inspector also said that staff are "relentless in ensuring that pupils benefit from a broad and rich education" and committed to the school's motto of 'Growing Hearts and Minds to Learn, Enjoy and Succeed'.
A range of educational visits, after-school clubs, and a school council, provide opportunities for pupils to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
This helps develop rounded, responsible, and confident individuals - with Ofsted noting that pupils' personal development is a "real strength" for the school.
In the report, Miss Marcinko wrote: "Pupils’ conduct is exemplary, and they demonstrate impeccable manners towards one another and visitors.
"They know how to raise any concerns they may have with trusted adults. As a result, pupils feel safe and are kept safe at school."
She praised extracurricular activitities, such as pupils, including children in early years, visiting parks and heaths so that they can forage.
Headteacher Helen Khinich said: "We are immensely proud of our recent Ofsted report, which highlights the dedication, passion, and hard work of our entire school community.
"Together, we have created an environment where excellence thrives, and we remain dedicated to continuing this journey of success."
Mark Greatrex, chief executive of the Bellevue Place Educational Trust, which opened and supports the school, added: "I am immensely proud of the remarkable journey Kilburn Grange School has been on since we opened the primary school in 2015.
"I am thrilled to witness the recognition of the staffing team working for this best for the whole school community."
