Hampstead Summer Festival got underway on Sunday with an art fair in the grounds of Keats House.
The event was officially opened by Jama Elmi - said to be London's best-dressed man - before visitors took in the array of artworks on display.
Local schools and community groups had created huge, colourful canvases to hang along Keats Grove with subjects ranging from floral motifs, a seaside and beach scene, a 'Save Trees, Save The Planet' banner, and images of Keats House and the poet John Keats.
Visitors enjoyed refreshments in the garden before browsing the stalls.
A spokesperson for Hampstead Summer Festival said: "It was a lovely day, not too hot, with some wonderful art on display.
"It was opened by the delightful and ever colourful Jama Elmi who is always happy to have selfies with people who came to see the pictures, sculptures and ceramics."
The Festival continues on Sunday 30th with the Family Garden Party in Keats House Garden from 2-5pm.
Entry is free to this popular afternoon which includes a pirate, fairy and magician, storytelling, rhyme time and a ballet performance to entertain the kids while the grown-ups enjoy wine and a picnic on the lawn.
The festival culminates in the Big Fair on Heath Street on Sunday, 7 July with 120 craft and food stalls, a fun fair, live music, circus school, SportZone, chess café and a giant chess set.
The Art Street will remain on display for the duration of the festival which raises funds for local charities: Hampstead School of Art and Keats Community Library.
