A talented teenager from Hampstead has made it to the final of a young game designers' competition.

Hitha Rashvin has beaten hundreds of other hopeful entrants to reach the final of the Bafta Young Game Designers competition.

The 13-year-old Hampstead student has been shortlisted for the Game Concept 10-14 category for her game, Ice Survivor.

Hitha Rashvin said: "I'm thrilled and excited by the amount of exposure I will be getting by interacting with the who's who of the gaming industry.

"I look forward to all the expert advice, ergo the learning, from this incredible journey."

Other finalists from north London include 14-year-old Isabella Zhang from Northwood, who was also shortlisted for the Game Concept category for her game, 'Kitty Crash'.

In the annual competition, which has been promoting young talent since 2010, budding game designers from across the country, aged between 10 and 18, are in the running for two awards.
