People have an opportunity to have their say on changes to a plan setting out where housing and industrial development will take place in Barnet over the next 12 years.
Barnet Council is consulting on the main modifications to its local plan, which sets out the planning and development strategy for the borough up to 2036.
Following the submission of the local plan for independent examination in November 2021 and hearings between September and December 2022, inspectors have recommended a number of changes for the plan to be found sound and legally compliant.
The consultation is live at engage.barnet.gov.uk and runs until Tuesday June 18 2024.
Chapters include housing, the economy, transport, the environment, and town centres, which covers the clustering of uses such as adult gaming centres, hot food takeaways, shisha bars, betting shops and money lenders.
Changes have also been made regarding clarity on a consistent approach to infrastructure requirements, such as the Healthy Streets Approach, flood risk and biodiversity.
Copies of the main modifications together with the submission version of the local plan are available at Barnet libraries.
Comments can only be made on the proposed modifications, not the full draft plan as submitted.
People are also advised to make clear which modification they are commenting on.
Any comments should be made using the main modifications representation form available at engage.barnet.gov.uk.
