The Bakerloo line is completely shut this weekend as well as the Overground line between Euston and Watford Junction – but why?
TfL has announced that there will be no service on the entire Bakerloo line today and tomorrow (April 27 to April 28).
This coincides with the closure of the London Overground branch between Euston and Watford Junction.
According to Metro, the closures have been put in place so that maintenance can be carried out on the Network Rail section of the tracks just north of Queen’s Park.
It comes just two months after parts of the same section of track were closed for nine days for railway upgrades.
A special bus route 718 operating between Queen’s Park and Harrow & Wealdstone has been put in place to try and alleviate disruption this weekend.
Replacement bus route BL5 will also operate between Paddington and Willesden Junction.
Passengers have been urged to check their journey before travelling.
