A woman is still fighting for her life in hospital three days after a hit and run crash involving two lorries.
Police were called to the smash at the junction of High Road and Bounds Green Road in Wood Green shortly before 12.30pm on Monday (March 25).
Two pedestrians were found injured at the scene. One, a woman in her 50s, was rushed to hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Police confirmed today (March 28), that she is still fighting for her life.
The other pedestrian, a woman aged in her 60s, was assessed as having injuries that are not life-threatening or life-changing.
One lorry driver, a man aged in his 50s, stopped at the scene of the crash and was arrested on suspicion of driving “over the prescribed limit”. He has since been released under police investigation.
A second lorry driver, also aged in his 50s, did not stop at the scene.
A man has subsequently been arrested on suspicious of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop. He has since been released on bail.
Any witnesses have been asked by police to call 101 quoting CAD 3125/25Mar.
