A Thai restaurant chain is set to move into Muswell Hill a year after its original opening date.
Ham and High reported in September 2022 that Giggling Squid would be opening at 107 Muswell Hill Road in mid-2023.
Now the chain says that the restaurant, which will be moving into the premises vacated by Bill’s, will be open by mid-2024.
Giggling Squid was launched in 2002 in Brighton by Andy and Pranee Laurillard, and has around 50 branches across the country, mainly in the south of England.
Its London locations include Wimbledon, Kingston upon Thames, Chislehurst and Hornchurch.
On its webpage dedicated to the soon-to-open Muswell Hill restaurant, the chain said: “The excitement is building as we fit out our new Thai restaurant…installing banquettes, hanging our stunning wallpaper, adding floral details.”
It added: “The team are also getting ready and can’t wait to throw open the doors and welcome our new guests.”
Giggling Squid has been contacted for more information about the upcoming opening date, as well as why it could not open its Muswell Hill restaurant last year.
