Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi has been spotted out on a stroll in Hampstead, after more than six months away from the spotlight.
The 27-year-old was seen out for a walk on Tuesday January 9, sporting a black hoodie and matching tracksuit bottoms.
He was enjoying the company of a few friends in the north London suburb where he has recently bought a home.
The singer-songwriter owns property in both London and Glasgow, the latter a £1.6 million mansion on the city's outskirts.
The Hampstead sighting comes after Capaldi delighted fans by releasing five new songs for the New Year.
Despite the singer's break from touring due to his mental health, he made an unexpected return to social media last week to announce the extended edition of his second album, Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent.
The original edition of the album topped the UK charts for two consecutive weeks on its release in May 2023.
Speaking about his decision on social media, Capaldi said: "After some back-and-forth about whether it was the right thing to do, I’ve decided it would be a shame for these extra five songs, which are so incredibly special to me, to sit on my hard drive, never to see the light of day."
The new songs include titles Strangers, A Cure For Minds Unwell, Someone I Could Die For, The Ancient Art Of Always F***ing Up and Old Navy Blue.
In a message to fans on Instagram, Capaldi expressed his fears over the album's reception and his own expectations.
He said: "I was absolutely terrified of disappointing you all, afraid of not living up to expectations and, in all honesty, scared that the whole thing would be a complete flop."
He revealed his long-awaited return is not planned yet, emphasising his focus on his mental health and dealing with his diagnosis of Tourette’s syndrome.
He said: "For now I'm going to continue taking some time to carry on looking after myself, maybe writing some music and taking a moment to reflect on some of the most incredible years of my life."
In December 2023, the Scottish star secured the title of TikTok's most viewed artist in the UK, as part of the social media platform's annual Year On TikTok report.
