A 16-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with the murder of a school boy on New Year's Eve.
Harry Pitman, 16, was killed on Primrose Hill at around 11.40pm on Sunday (December 31) after going with friends to watch the fireworks.
Police were called and provided first aid before paramedics arrived, but despite the efforts of emergency services, Harry died at the scene shortly before midnight.
A 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Highbury Magistrates' Court this morning ( January 6) charged with Harry's murder, Scotland Yard said.
The boy, from Westminster, is also charged with possessing an offensive weapon, PA Media reported.
Two teenagers aged 16 and 17, were arrested in connection with Harry’s murder on Thursday (January 4).
The 17-year-old boy was released on bail.
Three other boys arrested in connection with the murder, will have no further action taken against them.
The Met has apologised for conflicting information after saying the suspect was 15 years old.
