Costumes and props used by north London actors across six seasons of Netflix's hit series The Crown are going under the hammer.
A copy of Princess Diana's 'revenge dress,' a baby grand piano topped with royal 'family photos', and a replica of the door of 10 Downing Street, are also among more than 450 lots in The Crown Auction at Bonhams.
Multiple costumes worn by North London actor Claire Foy, who played Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons, are up for auction, including a teal ballgown with gold satin heels estimated at £3,000-£5,000, a powder blue ballgown with a guide price of £5,000-£7,000, a reproduction of the Coronation robe, Imperial Mantle and regalia for £20,000-£30,000, and a mourning dress worn following the death of King George VI for £2,000-£3,000.
Elsewhere, a silk skirt suit, a Ghillies ballgown, and mourning dress worn by West Hampstead actor Imelda Staunton as The Queen in series 5 and 6 are up for auction. A faux portrait of Staunton as the monarch could set you back £300-£500, while a novelty nodding ornament from the final season is among the most affordable lots at £80.
A pink 'investiture' dress, a full length banquet gown, a negligee and kaftan, and a suite of luggage used by Belsize Park actor Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret in series 3 and 4 also go under the hammer.
Among the priciest lots are the Downing Street facade complete with wrought iron railings, lantern and boot scraper, which could fetch £20,000-£30,000, a reproduction of St Edward's Coronation chair priced at £10,000-£20,000, and a replica of the Gold State Coach which has an estimate of £30,000-50,000.
The Queen's bedroom set of bed, dressing table and side tables used by Foy, Olivia Colman and Staunton is also up for sale, as is the off the shoulder black cocktail dress worn by Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana in season 5 which is estimated to fetch £8,000-£12,000.
The props sets and costumes, including clapperboards and autographed scripts go on display at Bonhams headquarters in New Bond Street, central London from January 11 to February 5, ahead of the live auction on February 7.
Open to the public free of charge, the exhibition offers "a unique opportunity to experience behind-the-scenes of The Crown and to marvel at the exceptional craftsmanship and creativity of the series."
Proceeds from the live sale will go towards establishing the Left Bank Pictures/The Crown Scholarship at the National Film and Television School. (NFTS) There is also an online auction of around 300 lots running from January 11 to February 8.
Charlie Thomas, from Bonhams UK said: "The iconic costumes, props and set pieces from The Crown are extensively researched and made with truly impressive attention to detail by master craftspeople.
"Not only is this an incredible opportunity to own pieces from the landmark show, it is also the closest anyone can come to owning the real thing – be it the façade of 10 Downing Street, or Princess Diana’s engagement ring."
