A man has “physically assaulted” a member of a group that was putting up posters of hostages held by Hamas.
Police were called to the bridge at the junction of Gloucester Avenue and Regents Park Avenue in Chalk Farm at around 8.30pm on Thursday (December 21).
Officers were told that a group who were putting up posters of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza were approached by a man who threatened them.
It was reported that the man physically assaulted one of the group before fleeing the scene.
Police said that the group then sheltered at Chalk Farm Tube station “for their own safety”.
Posting to X, Camden Police said: “We are aware of videos and photos being shared online following an assault in Chalk Farm last night. An investigation is under way.”
