A car burst into flames outside a pub.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to the fire in New End, Hampstead, just after 8.30pm on Friday evening (December 8).
Video footage posted to X showed a blue car engulfed by flames outside the Duke of Hamilton pub.
One fire engine from West Hampstead station attended the scene.
Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the blaze, with the incident declared under control by 9pm.
The Metropolitan Police also attended the scene. A spokesperson for the force said that the fire does not appear to have been caused by arson.
Pictures taken after the fire had been doused show that the engine of the car was destroyed.
Tape reading – ‘fire do not cross’ – could also be seen across the car's bonnet.
One social media user who posted about the fire on X, thanked LFB for their “swift actions”.
