Widespread rail delays were caused by a suspicious vehicle in a Willesden street.
Police have confirmed that they were called to Griffin Close at around 8am yesterday morning (October 27) after receiving reports of a suspicious vehicle.
A spokesperson for the force said that “a number of closures were put in place”, but that the incident has since been stood down.
A number of homes in the street back onto tracks serving the Jubilee line, the Metropolitan line and Chiltern Railways services.
This paper reported yesterday that people living near to Griffin Close, which sits between Willesden Green and Dollis Hill stations, were evacuated from their homes.
There was no service on the Jubilee line between West Hampstead and Wembley Park and on the Metropolitan Line between Wembley Park and Aldgate following the incident.
Chiltern Railways services were also suspended while police attended the scene.
