A Camden-based watch company has been recognised as one of the UK’s 100 most impressive small firms.
The Camden Watch Company, based in Camden Town, was founded in 2014 by partners Anneke Short and Jerome Robert.
It has now been selected as one of the nation’s 100 most impressive small firms by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign, which highlights small businesses and encourages people to shop locally.
An awards ceremony for Small Business Saturday will take place on December 2 this year.
The Camden Watch Company says it creates watches and accessories “inspired by British heritage” and the “rich industrial past and vibrant present” of Camden.
Co-founder Ms Short said: “We are honoured to be among the nation’s 100 most remarkable small businesses, recognised by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign.
“It is the perfect way to celebrate our first decade in business, and fuels our commitment to celebrate British creativity and innovation.”
Michelle Ovens, the director of Small Business Saturday UK, said: “It’s fantastic to celebrate The Camden Watch Company as part of this year’s campaign.
“The impressive small businesses featured in this year’s SmallBiz100 sum up the phenomenal contribution that small firms make to our economy and local communities.”
