A budding lawyer overcame losing a family member and anxiety to win a place at a top university.
Nathan Crawford, a student at William Ellis School and LaSWAP Sixth Form, was plunged into grief while studying for his A-levels.
Despite this, Nathan worked hard to gain three As in politics, history and economics and now has a place to study law at Bristol University.
Nathan said: “During A-levels, I suffered with a lot of anxiety and although I was struggling, I really threw myself into work.
"I also had really great teachers who helped me through, and without a question did everything to support me.”
Izzy Jones, headteacher of William Ellis School, said: “Congratulations to all the students for the amazing resilience and strength of character they have shown over the past four years.”
