A 149-year-old pub is temporarily shut as it undergoes a makeover.
The North London Tavern, in Kilburn High Road, will have a new look once the work is completed and is due to reopen on July 24.
The pub was built in 1894 for railway workers and has remained a popular watering hole in north London.
Its window was smashed on May 31, with a thousand pounds’ worth of spirits stolen.
Landlord Dean Brent said it would cost £1,000 to replace the window and the same again to replace his stolen alcohol.

With the window boarded up at the time, Mr brent feared it would give a false impression of the pub and the “fantastic” people who go there.
He continued: "It's Covid and the recession and the cost of living crisis, it's not fair that the pub should pay for damage and theft."
Before its closure for the refurbishment, the pub advertised its last open mic night last week (June 14) as its “last one for a month”.
