A Chinese restaurant has closed its doors just weeks after its opening ceremony.
It was only a month ago that staff could be heard cheering at the launch of YUE Hong Kong Cuisine in Muswell Hill Broadway.
The grand opening for the Chinese restaurant – said to blend Japanese, Thai and European cuisines with Chinese cooking – was officially held on April 24.
But the restaurant announced yesterday (May 15) that that the business is officially closing for good.
In its announcement, the team wrote: “Thank you to every customer who likes our restaurant for their support.”
Last week, the restaurant said that it would have to temporarily close, saying the venue was “broken into illegally” on May 10.
In an Instagram post, the restaurant wrote: “We need to temporarily close the business and hand over the CCTV records to the police for investigation.”
When approached by the Ham&High, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said they could not find a report of the break-in.
YUE Hong Kong Cuisine was approached for comment.
