The Affordable Art Fair got underway on Hampstead Heath on Wednesday at a private view of thousands of artworks shown by 100 UK and international galleries.
The annual event in a giant marquee on the Lower Fairground site offers a chance for visitors to buy work from £50-£7,500, ranging from big names like Damien Hirst, Quentin Blake and Felicity Gill, to rising stars such as the recent graduates showing in Made in Arts London.
There is also a section on top finds for under £500.
Artist David Bellingham is showing a special series of installations dotted across the fair. Titled Everyone Play Together, they feature text, objects and humour to make the viewer see their surroundings afresh.
This year's event also included work by budding artists in the criminal justice system who have been helped by art in prisons charity Koestler Arts, and a special display of 'Art Fit For A King' including a limited edition print by draftsman Adam Dant to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.
The fair, which runs until Sunday May 14, is dog-friendly and includes the chance to have your pets' photo taken by award-winning animal photographer Amie Barron. She is working from a pop-up studio, with tickets for photo shoots available from the Fair's website, and some walk up slots available on the day.
"It’s my life’s mission, using my camera, to immortalise every dog I meet and their unique personality in ways their humans have never seen before," she said.
"I'm so excited to be involved with giving art lovers an immediate way to create something to hang on their walls!"
Local artists taking part include screen printer Dave Buonaguidi aka The Real Hackney Dave, and Hampstead printmaker Rebecca Denton whose works often feature scenes of the Heath and who is showing with the North London Printmakers.
Hampstead's Catto Gallery also has a stand at the fair, where visitors can ejoy a range of food and drink including a pop up bar run by Hampstead wine shop Must and gin by the fair's spirit partner Silent Pool gin available from the central bar.
The Affordable Art Fair runs on Hampstead Heath until Sunday May 14.
