The public was asked to stay clear of Archway Road as fire crews tackled a blaze in a derelict building.
Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire at a building in Archway Road, Highgate.
Highgate Underground Station was temporarily closed and people were asked to avoid the area.

The fire brigade was called at 3.01pm and the fire under control was under control at 4.13pm.
Half of the first floor of the derelict building was damaged by the fire.
The brigade's 999 control officers received 25 calls about the incident.
Fire crews from Hornsey, Kentish Town, Holloway, West Hampstead and Finchley attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
