Two men have been charged with behaviour likely to stir up racial hatred at a central London demonstration.
Khaldoun Ahmad El-Ali, 27, from Brent, and Mohammad Jihad Al Safi, 25, from Camden, were both charged today (April 20).
They have been bailed to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on May 17.
The pair allegedly chanted references to the 6th century massacre of Jews at the battle of Khaybar at a demonstration in Hyde Park and Kensington High Street on May 22 last year.
The Battle of Khaybar was fought in 628 CE between the early Muslims led by Muhammad and Jews living in Khaybar.
