Dermot Kennedy has been announced as the final headliner for this summer's All Points East festival.

The Irish singer will be joined on bank holiday Sunday August 27 by Nick Mulvey, James Vincent McMorrow, London singer-songwriter Olivia Dean, and star producer SG Lewis.

Novo Amor, Moncrieff, Rachel Chinouriri and Áine Deane complete the supporting line-up for a fabulous day of music in Victoria Park.

Kennedy has come a long way since busking as a 17-year-old in Dublin. He made his APE debut in 2019, just ahead of his successful debut album Without Fear, and now returns as a festival headliner, having notched up around 4 billion streams and competed for International Male Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards.

Crowds in the Tower Hamlets park can expect the lyrical storytelling power of the likes of Giants, Outnumbered, Power Over Me, Paradise with Meduza, and Better Days alongside tracks for his new album Sonder including hit single Kiss Me.

He said: "I remember playing the main stage at All Points East back in 2019 just before my debut album came out.. It’s surreal to me how much has happened over the past 4 years and I’m so grateful to everyone who’s supported me on this journey.

"This headline show is going to be on another level and I’m honoured to be headlining this year alongside legendary artists The Strokes, HAIM, Stormzy and Jungle. See you in Victoria Park!"

Dean, who began her career collaborating with Rudimental, releases her debut album Messy on June 30 while Lewis is one of music's most sought after producers and has collaborated with everyone from Elton John to Dave and Dua Lipa as well as selling out shows across the world. James Vincent McMorrow brings his dreamy soulful brand of indie folk to All Points East.

The festival takes place over two weekends in August with Stormzy curating his This Is What We Mean Day on August 18, with a line up that includes Kehlani, Sampha, Knucks, Lucky Daye, WSTRN, and Ms Banks.

The Strokes headline on August 25, Jungle on August 26, and Haim play a European exclusive show on August 28.

Tickets for Dermot Kennedy on August 27 go on sale to the general public at 10am on April 6. https://www.allpointseastfestival.com/
