Jungle headline All Points East's Bank Holiday Saturday line-up bringing feelgood electronic vibes to Victoria Park.
They will be joined for the Luno Presents day by Grammy winning US singer Erykah Badu, known for hits such as You Got Me and Love of My Life, and DJ/producer Bruno Boumendil, aka Folamour.
Toronto-based jazz ensemble BADBADNOTGOOD return to the Tower Hamlets festival performing expansive music that straddles the line between '70s soul-jazz, alternative hip-hop, and experimental electronica. 070 Shake, Charlotte Day Wilson, and Lil Silva are also on the bill for Saturday August 26.
All Points East runs over two weekends in August with The Strokes already announced as headliners on August 25, and Stormzy curating his own line-up for This Is What We Mean Day on August 18. Meanwhile Californian rockers Haim make their APE debut on Bank Holiday Monday August 28 in a line up that includes Confidence Man, Girl in Red and Lizzy McAlpine.
Formed by West London childhood friends, J.Lloyd and Tom McFarland in 2013, Jungle developed as a collective working with different artists across diverse disciplines. Their self-titled debut record was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize, with all three albums reaching the Top Ten in the UK Official Albums Chart.
To perform their music live the duo expanded to a seven piece band and translated songs such as ‘Busy Earnin’, ‘Heavy, California’, ‘Casio’ and the infectious ‘Keep Moving’, into a non stop energetic live show.
Each year, All Points East delivers world class headliners, curated supporting line ups and big exclusives alongside a popular community focused event each year.
Run in collaboration with Tower Hamlets council In The Neighbourhood, is a free programme of activities and entertainment offered by local businesses and organisations from creative workshops and open air movie nights to drag shows and yoga.
Tickets for All Points East on August 28 headlined by Jungle are now on presale and go on general sale on March 21 at 10am www.allpointseastfestival.com
