A hospital trust issued advice to patients as junior doctors took part in a national strike this week.
Junior doctors at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust were among those participating in three days of industrial action from 7am on Monday, (March 13) to 7am on Thursday.
The trust runs Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and Royal Free Hospital, and all three are affected.
In a statement online, the trust said it was working hard to ensure disruption to services was minimised.
It said consultant cover would be in place during the industrial action, along with the normal number of nurses and allied health professionals.
Patients needing emergency care were told they would be seen and urged to attend as normal.
But where appropriate, those needing non-hospital services, were asked to call NHS 111, go online at www.111.nhs.uk, contact their local GP practice or go to walk-in centres or pharmacies.
Patients with planned procedures were asked to contact their clinical team using the contact information on their appointment letter.
And those with outpatient appointment were told they would be contacted directly if any changes were necessary, and to assume appointments were going ahead unless they heard otherwise.
