A man is in hospital following a fire at a block of flats this morning (February 20).
The blaze broke out in a first floor flat of a five-storey building in Aspen Grove, Belsize Park.
One man had to be rescued from the flat by the London Fire Brigade (LFB) and was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service.
Half of the three-roomed flat was destroyed by the fire, LFB said.

Firefighters were called to the scene at 11.23am and the blaze was extinguished by 12.18pm.
Four engines and around 25 firefighters from West Hampstead, Kentish Town, Euston, and Paddington fire stations were in attendance.
A LFB spokesperson said that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
