One of north London's top tribute bands are playing a special concert to celebrate what would have been a Beatle's birthday.

The Trembling Wilburys will perform at the Camden Club on February 26 to celebrate the memory of Beatle and Traveling Wilburys founder George Harrison, who would have turned 80.

The Traveling Wilburys were a supergroup formed in 1988, comprising George Harrison, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne.

George Harrison died in 2001 of cancer following a career as a musician, film producer and humanitarian.

Drummer and band manager David Stark, who lives in Belsize Park, said: "I was lucky to meet George Harrison on quite a few occasions in the 1960s and beyond. He was a lovely guy and a huge inspiration to us and so many other people around the world.

"We are delighted to be playing this special show in his honour and look forward to an amazing evening of classic songs with very special memories."

The Chalk Farm music venue, opposite The Roundhouse, is all-seated at tables with a full bar and food menu also available.

Doors open at 7pm with support from host Tony Moore, with the Wilburys going on around 8.15pm for two sets including some of George's best-known Beatles and solo hits.

Tickets cost £15 in advance (+ booking fee) or £18 on the door.
