The cafe at Regent's Park's boating lake has had a major revamp with fresh decor and a new menu.
The Waterside Café boasts scenic views of the tree-fringed water and boats, with bespoke hand-painted wallpaper based on flowers in the Royal Park's Queen Mary Rose Garden.
Visitors can dine inside or out at picnic benches on the large terrace overlooking the lake. The new menu, overseen by Great British Menu chef Chris Holland for Life Cafes, features freshly prepared food and drink starting with breakfast and brunch ranging from Cumberland sausage roll to breakfast bagels, buttermilk waffles and smashed avocado on sourdough from E5 bakery.
Served from noon, lunch features brioche burgers; slow cooked lamb, spiced chickpea, and beef and cheddar, flatbread pizzas by the slice, and pittas including the vegan mushroom, spinach and hummus.
The nature-friendly café also serves fairtrade coffee and has switched to seeded, plantable loyalty cards, recyclable water cartons, and fully compostable takeaway packaging.
The Waterside Cafe is open daily. Opening times vary depending on the season.
