A Harry Potter star will be part of a magical Christmas switch-on event.
Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the blockbuster film adaptions, will do the honours for the festive event outside The Angel Inn in Highgate.
Organiser James Wilkinson says that additional funding is needed this year to continue the annual Highgate Village Christmas Lights as councils will be unable to contribute to the funding.
Each year the event is mainly funded by traders and local schools as well local authorities.
The Winkworth estate agent has started a fundraising page for residents to keep the lighting going.
The fundraiser says: “Let's make it happen again this year - it's needed perhaps more this year than ever to bring a bit of cheer for the people of Highgate and the wider community to enjoy.”
The switch-on ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 23 at 4pm.
