Hampstead & Westminster's Richard Chapman led Wales over-70s to an historic World Cup title in Tokyo.
After a successful group phase, Wales hit back from two goals down to beat hosts Japan 3-2 in their semi-final thanks to a late winner.
And they ran out 2-0 winners over South Africa in the final, to claim the first gold medal for any Welsh age group side, male or female, at a World Cup.
Five other Hampstead & Westminster players were in action for their countries earlier in the year.
Antoine Elias and Antoine-Julien Richard represented France and Andrew Harrington was in goal for Wales at the O40 World Cup in Nottingham.
Elias was on track to finish as one of the top goal scorers at the tournament before being hampered by injury, as France finished seventh and Wales 11th, with England claiming the title on home soil.
Nick Hodgson helped Wales finish seventh at the O45 World Cup in Cape Town, where Ian Hammond won bronze for England in the O50 competition, scoring an impressive five goals.
Many of the Hampstead & Westminster vets are involved in junior coaching at the club, passing on their experience to the next generation, and a women's O35 team is set to play for the first time this season, with masters teams in all other available age groups.
