Cancer Research UK is calling on the women of north London in an urgent appeal to sign up for the Hampstead Race for Life.
The five kilometre race takes place on Saturday, July 5 on Hampstead Heath, starting at 11am.
BBC Radio DJ and Hampstead resident Edith Bowman has lent her support to the cause.
She said: “Get the girls together – your friends, your mum, your sisters, aunties, workmates – anyone and everyone and enter now. What better way to help save someone’s life?”
