The Ham&High’s news editor is set to tackle this year’s London Marathon in aid of two great charities.
Dave Burke will be taking on the 26 mile run for this newpaper’s 2016 charity partners - the Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation (AWTF) and the Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead.
The Ham&High is hoping to help each good cause raise £50,000 this year.
Dave said: “I’m not a runner by any stretch of the imagination, so all this training is a shock to the system.
“The news team is no doubt fed up of me moaning about the long hours spent running in the cold, but it’ll all be worth it if we can raise money for two fantastic charities.”
The AWTF provides support for disadvantaged children in North London, while the hospices cares for people with terminal illnesses and their families.
