A fourth arrest has been made in connection with the stabbing of a father-of-two in Camden.

Dutchman Romeo Nkansah, 37, was stabbed to death in a Camden Street moments after started talking to a group of women after a night out.

Police today arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of murder who is in custody at an east London police station.

Three men have already been arrested in connection with the incident, aged 19, 20 and 21. They have all been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Detectives are still appealing for witnesses to come forward and have released CCTV footage of the minutes before the stabbing.

Mr Nkansah and his two friends had been on a night out in Camden Lock on May 29.

Police said an argument broke out between them and another group of men after they stopped and chatted to some women on Greenland Street at about 3:30am.

Somewhere between Bayham Street and Greenland Street Mr Nkansah was fatally stabbed, dying from a single stab wound.

Detective chief inspector Jamie Piscopo said: “I would appeal to those people who were part of either group that Sunday morning to come forward and talk to police.

“We have identified two of the women, but there are other people that we need to speak with.

“It is clear that you may have vital information about the events that led up to Romeo’s murder and who is responsible.

“This is a really popular and busy area, with a nightlife that runs until the early hours so I know there will be other people who may have seen something that have yet to come forward.

“Romeo was a loving and committed father of two, and a much loved brother and son.

“I would urge anyone who may have seen something, or knows the identity of Romeo’s murderer to get in touch with us and help us find answers for his family.”
